The Star Sydney

Cross the bridge from Darling Harbour to the once quiet, historic suburb of Pyrmont and you’ll find its “star” attraction, The Star. Having first opened its doors back in 1997, The Star is Sydney’s first casino, hotel and entertainment complex.

Apart from its vast gaming lounges and high-rollers hang-outs, this diverse destination also attracts fans of fine food, theatre, late night bar hopping and premium shopping. The Star’s glitzy retail precinct features a parade of high fashion brands, in case you win big and decide to treat yourself!

2011 saw The Star undergo a massive $870 million revamp, which in part helped to position the venue as one of Sydney’s premier fine dining establishments.

The striking glass building houses some of the most awarded eateries in Sydney, including signature restaurants Flying Fish, Momofuku Seiōbo, BLACK Bar and Grill and Sokyo. For something a little less low-key, there’s the much-loved Harvest Buffet as well as an all-night food court.

Nightlife-wise, the party rages all night long at The Star. Dance the night away at the Marquee nightclub, catch a live band at Rock Lily, sip on Moscow Mules overlooking the harbour at Cherry cocktail lounge, or watch international sports, live at loud on the big screen at the 24/7 Sports Bar.

The Lyric Theatre is still one of Sydney’s best venues for catching the latest musicals, showing the latest versions of old favourites and bringing some of the most highly-anticipated productions of the year to its esteemed stage.
