The Broken Hill Sculptures & Living Desert Sanctuary

Take a drive through the Living Desert Reserve you’ll pass by not one, but two incredible attractions. The first, being twelve, man-made sandstone sculptures standing tall crafted by international artists. The sculptures have been in place since 1993 and line the skyline of the reserve. Depending on the time of day you visit, they reflect the light accordingly, making an incredible spectacle for you to experience.
The second is the Flora and Fauna Sanctuary next to the astonishing sculptures. Made up of 180 hectares of wildflowers, Aboriginal attractions and artwork for you to explore, start your experience in the sanctuary and finish your visit at sunset, walking to the sculptures for the best lighting at dusk. With parking available, bring water for your journey and take in this incredible scenery where natural landscape meets man-made art.
