The Blue Mountains Botanic Garden
One of Mount Tomah’s major tourist attractions, the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden is set 100 kilometres from Sydney and was established in 1816. This cool climate garden is home to over 6,000 different species of plants from around the world, and the landscaped estate is 28 hectares in total. Sitting at 1,000 metres above sea level the gardens showcase views across the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. Take a walk through the gardens or learn about how they have been established as a World Heritage Area at the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Exhibition Centre. The gardens provide a number of facilities such as picnic areas, as well as a cafe, venue hire, wedding packages, accommodation and exhibition spaces. A visit to the gardens is a great family day out and a relaxing way to experience the beautiful flora and manicured gardens in Mount Tomah.
