Orange Botanic Gardens

The town of Orange has an expansive area dedicated to the Orange Botanic Gardens. Entry to the gardens is free, where you’ll find yourself meandering amongst native and non-native species of plants. Spend an hour walking or have a picnic in the garden to enjoy the scenery and landscapes that lay before you.
Within the gardens, be sure to locate the Federation Arch which is a stainless steel sculpture designed by Bert Flugelman, as well as a homestead garden, an orchard, and various floral gardens depending on the season. With a range of indigenous to exotic trees, a walk, particularly along the Country Walk, will take you through the best of the botanic gardens. The botanic gardens open daily at 7:30 am, where you can spend the day walking through, having a picnic or barbecue, or having a play at the nearby Orange Adventure Playground.
