National Motor Racing Museum
Thanks to the racing history taking place on Mount Panorama, a museum has been dedicated to its story at the National Motor Racing Museum. This museum pays homage to the drivers, racers, and actual vehicles that have all held a place of importance in racing history. On Mount Panorama, races have been taking place for years and years, including the famous Bathurst 1000. It’s even said that the Ford vs. Holden rivalry was generated here for the performance and racing of the vehicles.
The museum is open to the public and allows visitors to photograph and view the exterior and interior of cars used to race the track throughout different decades. Viewers can admire the evolution of racing in Australia, and see how the town of Bathurst has played a significant role into the creation of the Mount Panorama Racing Circuit and the stronghold that has remained over the years.
