Kiama Harbour

Kiama Harbour sits at the centre of Kiama, a destination created out of historical necessity that still serves a purpose to this day. Created in 1876, the Kiama Harbour has long been a source of development for the region as it helped create the town of Kiama as a hub for trading goods and resources that had to travel in by sea.
You’ll notice a pleasant walkway along the harbour to the blowhole and lighthouse that provides you with a complete overlook of the harbour. However, the walkway serves more than just a way to have a scenic view. Its construction was also created as a way to protect incoming ships from dangerous conditions created in high tide. Now, visitors will find the stunning Kiama Blowhole, the Rock Pool at the north end of the harbour, and the Kiama Lighthouse that has all been facilitated in the development of the harbour itself.
