Everglades Historic House and Gardens

To add to Leura’s charming town centre, the Everglades Historic House and Gardens brings a mix of dramatic views and carefully maintained landscape. Set on 5.2 hectares of land the gardens bring a European charm with winding pathways and towering trees. Overlooking the Blue Mountains bushland, why not stop and enjoy a cup or tea in this art deco home? With a Reflection Pool and Grotto Pool nestled within the gardens for you to explore, experience views of the Jamison Valley and Mt Solitary. Wedding and venue hire is also available at the Everglades Historic House and Gardens, for you to embrace the natural surroundings with cherry blossoms and daffodils framing your ceremony.
There is an entry fee to the gardens, and you can explore the grounds from 10 am to 5 pm in summer and spring daily, or 10 am to 4 pm during the autumn and winter months. Some highlights of the garden are the Cherry Terrace with picturesque Japanese cherry blossom trees and the Terrace View, which brings sweeping views across the Jamison Valley leading you to the Lookout of Gordon Falls. Continue, and you’ll find the Grotto Pool which is hidden between foliage from afar. This eight-metre waterfall is a refreshing end to your explorations. Once you’ve explored the gardens, stop by the Everglades tearooms with views across Jamison Valley. Enjoy a pot of tea and a freshly baked cake, making a relaxing end to your Everglades experience.
