Cape Hawke Lookout
There’s no better place to soak up the spectacular natural beauty of Forster and the surrounding area than Cape Hawk Lookout. Located in Booti Booti National Park, the lookout offers unrivalled 360-degree views of the national parks and out to the ocean. From May-November you may even spot whales from this superior vantage point.
To reach the lookout you will need to hike around 500m through the stunning rainforest. Listen to the birds chirp and spot pelicans and other native species. Seats are located along the way for those who become tired or simply want to enjoy the scenery and wildlife. You will arrive at an 8.4-metre tower, and some degree of physical fitness is required to reach the top, however, the breathtaking view is worth every step.
Cape Hawke Lookout is located just a short drive from Forster and is certainly worth visiting when you’re in the area.
