Byron Bay Farmers Market
Byron Farmers Market has been running for over 17 years, making it one of the oldest farmers markets in NSW and Australia. There are over 80 stalls, including everything from seasonal fruit and veg to honey, nuts, rice, pasture-raised meat and eggs, artisan cheeses and breads, seafood and more. All fresh and locally grown by our farmers. The market runs every Thursday from 7-11am at the Cavanbah Centre on Ewingsdale Rd in Byron Bay and there is a sister market that runs every Saturday from 7-11am in the pub carpark in Bangalow.
As everything is grown locally, the products on offer vary with the seasons, however, each farm has its own microclimate, and some farmers use greenhouses, so the growing season can vary from farm to farm. However, you can always guarantee a wide range of fruit, vegetables, and more.
All farmers who wish to have a stall must meet specific criteria, and pass an assessment of the farm to ensure that the produce on sale is coming from reputable farmers, is high quality, and is varied across stalls.
The market is a beloved part of the Byron Bay community, and locals love visiting the lively and vibrant event to sip locally made coffee, catch up with friends, and shop for fresh produce. A visit is highly recommended when you’re in the area, to experience all of the delicious produce that Byron has to offer.
