Australian Country Music Hall of Fame
Head to the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame for complete submersion into the influence of country music in Tamworth. The town has long held a position of being iconic for the country music scene, making it the most appropriate destination in Australia to hold the Country Music Hall of Fame. Set in place by the Australian Country Music Foundation, the centre is completely run by volunteers dedicated to the preservation of country music, its history, and its influence in Australia and the rest of the world.
Fittingly, the hall of fame is located in a guitar-shaped building on Peel and Murray Street in Tamworth. Visitors are guided through the Walk a Country Mile display which changes regularly, but features collections of instruments, clothing, and other memorabilia of famous country musicians. Exhibitions from artists such as Tex Morton, Buddy Williams, Adam Harvey, and Amber Lawrence among many others can be found interchangeably throughout the hall of fame.
