While you're exploring Singleton, a quaint little town on the Hunter River, stop by the Australian Army Infantry Museum to examine the collection of Australia's armies and deployment. Made up of two levels; one showcasing the history of operations from Sudan in 1885 to Afghanistan today, and the other showcasing a small arms collections as well as training aids.

The museum is a great way to learn about the military service, whether you have a family member serving or a curiosity about what's involved, it collects and preserves the experience of war - bringing back memories of Gallipoli, Kokoda and Long Tan for visitors to observe and learn about. The museum allows visitors to get up close with uniforms, weapons and vehicles used in battle and it is considered to be Australia's most extensive small arms collection.

The Australia Army Infantry Museum teaches visitors about the history and traditions of soldiers serving the nation for over 100 years.
